Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII) (“we” or “us” or “our”) respect the privacy of our users (“user” or “you” or “your”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when our mobile application (“Eye on Corruption”) is used. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS THE APPLICATION. We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last updated” date of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically examine this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Application after the date such a revised Privacy Policy is posted.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the third-party online/mobile store from which you install the Application or make payments, including any in-game virtual items, which may also collect and use data about you. We are not responsible for any of the data collected by any such third party.

We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device’s calendar, camera, microphone, storage and other features.

Device information such as your mobile device ID number, model, and manufacturer, version of your operating system, phone number, country, location, and any other data you choose to provide will only be for developer use and tailoring contents specific to you. This information will also be for quality control purposes only.

If you wish to opt-out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device’s settings.
Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the Application to:
- Administer sweepstakes, updates and feedback.
- Assist law enforcement and respond to reports. This will aid in the fight against fraudulent activities, theft, and other criminal activity particularly corruption.
- Compile anonymous statistical data and analysis for use internally or our affiliates.
- Create and manage your account.
- Deliver targeted news articles, newsletters, and other information regarding the Application to you.
- Email you regarding your account.
- Enable user-to-user communications.
- Increase the efficiency and operation of the Application.
- Monitor and analyse usage and trends to improve your experience with the Application.
- Notify you of updates to the Application.
- Request feedback and contact you about your use of the Application.
- Resolve user queries and troubleshooting purposes.
- Solicit support for the Application.

If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or prevent potential violations of public policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation. We may share your information with our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honour this Privacy Policy. Our Affiliates include Transparency International (TI) and any collaborators or companies that GII control or that are under common control with us.
The Application may contain links to third-party websites and applications of interest, that are not affiliated with us. Once you have used these links to leave the Application, any information you provide to these third parties is not covered by this Privacy Policy, and we cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of your information. Before visiting and providing any information to any third-party websites, you should inform yourself of the privacy policies and practices (if any) of the third party responsible for that website, and should take those steps necessary to, in your discretion, protect the privacy of your information. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties, including other sites, services or applications that may be linked to or from the Application.
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information.
We
do not knowingly solicit information from children (under the age of 18),
even though we encourage everybody who has become a victim of corruption, or
suspect that corruption has taken place or is about to take place, to report the
act through the Application.
A child’s personal data, or other data that could link to or identify the child, will be protected and will not be shared with any third party unless in response to legal process or as required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.
OPTIONS REGARDING YOUR INFORMATION
You may at any time review or change the information in your account or terminate your account by:

Other
Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, some information may be retained in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Use and/or comply with legal requirements.

If you no longer wish to receive correspondence, emails, or other communications from us, you may opt-out by:

If you have a registered account with the Application, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the Application. To request removal of such data, please contact us using the contact information provided below, and include the email address associated with your account. We will make sure the data is not publicly displayed on the Application, but please be aware that the data may not be completely or comprehensively removed from our systems.
